David Davies
President, Commercial
As its President, David Davies is responsible for the oversight, development, and growth of Connolly’s Commercial Division, which consists of Contract Compliance and Accounts Payables audit practices. Prior to joining Connolly, David was the Global Managing Partner for the Energy, Utilities and Services Practice with Infosys Consulting. In this role David was responsible for the overall P & L for this practice which included a $130 million client portfolio with more than 100 consultants. He also had responsibility for Infosys’ pricing capability and has chaired the Partner selection committee. Prior to this role, he spent 15 years in the Strategy and Business Architecture practice at Accenture. His industry experience includes Oil and Gas, Utilities, Chemicals, Natural Resources and Information Services. He holds an MA, (with Honors), in Geology and Geochemistry and a Post Graduate Diploma, (awarded with distinction), in Petrochemical Business Management from Oxford University, Oxford, England. David is a seasoned commercial executive with a track record of both top line growth and bottom line improvement.

John Heighway
Managing Director, Europe
John is responsible for overseeing European business development and operations. Fifteen years prior to Connolly, John served as Financial Controller, Commercial Director and Operations Manager for several audit, consulting, and technology firms. Since joining Connolly in 1999, John has been instrumental in developing the UK and European recovery audit industry. His knowledge of UK and European-based clients and audit practices enables him to bring insight and knowledge to each audit opportunity.

John Lang
Managing Director, Canada
John has extensive experience prior to joining Connolly in business development and operations within the recovery audit and retainer consulting industry. His expertise spans accounts payable, commodity taxes, property taxes, payroll taxes, research & development tax credits, customs duties, workers compensation recovery, health and safety, and claims management services. John leads Connolly’s Canadian operation in Toronto and manages client relationships for all Canadian accounts. He has been a key contributor to the development of audit planning and management tools as well as expanding the Canadian practice.

Joan Ruess
Audit Manager, US
Prior to Connolly, Joan’s experience spanned the accounting and recovery audit industries. As Audit Manager, Joan applies audit concepts and risk-based audit methodology to the audits she manages and adds value by assessing project scope and making recommendations for process improvement. Her responsibilities include audits in a variety of industries, including telecommunications, retail, food and beverage, and energy and utilities. Prior to joining Connolly in 1999, Joan gained expertise in the accounting industry at both the staff and divisional levels.

Allan Fowlie
Auditor, Europe
Allan currently serves Connolly’s clients in Europe. An experienced manager and auditor with a background in finance, accounting and procurement, Allan has a pulse on business operations and processes. His experience includes strategic consultancy, product development, project management and systems implementation. Prior to Connolly, he managed complex projects at large multi-nationals in the oil, consulting, and telecom industries. He is also a guest lecturer at several universities.

Lyle Cook
Senior Associate, Canada
Based in Canada, Lyle has over a decade of experience working in recovery audit. An economics graduate, he began his career in retail accounting and finance. Since then, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in the auditing and consulting industries. Lyle has conducted accounts payable audits at four of Canada’s leading retailers and at manufacturing, telecom, and consumer products clients. He is a Certified Management Accountant.
